On the label, the artist Guido Sileoni wanted to depict the Etruscan god of the underworld Aita. (Hades for the Greeks, Pluto for the Romans.) Aita is our flagship wine. Is the result of our best selection of Montepulciano grapes. The yield is extremely low, 0.5kg per plant. The grapes are harvested late, in the middle of October, by hand in small 15kg crates. Pressing takes place within an hour of harvesting. Fermentation is activated spontaneously by means of the yeasts naturally present in the grapes. At the end of the process, the wine is transferred to barriques T5 Taransaud. Here the wine aging for 18 months before resting for a further 9 months in the bottle to be then released on the market.
